Going to the Prom
It is prom season, a time when many a young femulator’s heart is all a flutter thinking about the pretty prom gowns he won’t be able to wear to his high school’s spring formal.In high school, I did not date much. I interacted easily with girls on a day-to-day basis, but when it came to dating, I did not interact successfully.
Looking back, I realize that interacting with girls was easy because I was feminine. However, dating girls was difficult because I had to act like a male and that was so foreign to me that I was lousy at it.
When I attended my high school’s prom, my sister had to set me up with her best friend as my date. That date went fine because I already knew my sister’s friend well; it was as if we were two girls out on a date. The only problem was that one girl had to dress like a boy. I wore a white tux and that was probably a good thing because back then, I was about 50 pounds heavier than I am now. Squeezing into a prom gown would not have been a pretty sight, but I am sure my mother would have sewn me something dreamy to wear and would have had me fitted with the proper foundation garments so that I would be voluptuous in her creation. Of course, it did not happen, but I dreamed about it nonetheless.
Times have changed. As Ray Davies once sang, “Boys will be girls and girls will be boys” and today, at some of the more progressive schools in our nation, girls do wear tuxedos to proms and boys do wear gowns.

Womanless Beauty Pageants

The vast majority of them look very convincing as girls!
What a truly wonderful concept and what a great way to get boys into femininity! The hardest obstacle – initially getting a boy to wear anything that he associates as being girly – is overcome with gentle encouragement and the assurance that he won’t be the only boy wearing a dress.
Once the boy is fully dressed up as a beauty queen, he will soon get used to the strange experience of suddenly having a skirt swishing around his legs, balancing and wobbling in high heels, having long hair, wearing clinking, pretty jewelry and wearing cosmetics and even find it fun, especially once he joins the other “ladies” and compares how he looks alongside them.
He will find out that he can be as pretty and feminine as any girl and will gain an insight into femininity. He may, hopefully, want to enjoy the experience again and, overcoming his embarrassment and male pride, be brave enough to ask his mother to furnish him with a new wardrobe for him to explore and appreciate his girlish nature.
Boys (and men) of all ages should be actively encouraged to take part in a WBP. This is a great way to begin to get males to become more feminine and will perhaps give the significant females in their lives, seeing how pretty their men and boys can be with a little effort, ideas about keeping them that way!
As far as I can see, the WBP was born and is practiced in the USA at present, but I hope that the WBP will soon be imported to the UK, Europe and the rest of the world. Imagine how much better the world would be with males concentrating on trying to be Miss World rather than trying to dominate the world.
I for one would love to take part in one when they arrive over here and will happily put on my gown and high heels.

Coming Out to a Male

In anticipation of coming out, I composed a 500-word letter of explanation. I copied the words into a blank e-mail, made a few changes, then I stared at the Send button for a few hours. I did not actually stare at the Send button all that time, but for over three hours, I did consider whether or not to send the e-mail.
It was a tough decision. In the past, I have come out to friends and acquaintances who have known me for a long or short time, but all of them were women. I found it very easy to come out to women. I guess because I am telling them that I am on their team.
Men were not so easy. Just encountering men when I was en femme gave me pause; coming out to a man was unthinkable. My friend would be the first male friend or acquaintance I would come out to.
I finally realized that I had to tell him, so I hit the Send button and girded myself for his reply. I was so worried about his response that I did not check my e-mails the rest of the afternoon. Finally, after dinner, I looked for his reply, found it and opened it.
He wrote, “Thank you for the e-mail. I am sure it was hard to send. But rest assured, you have my respect and support. I think it is best that a person be true to themselves, and you are doing just that. You go girl!”
He floored me with “You go girl!” Now, that’s a real friend!
By the way, in the ensuing 11 years, my coming outs have had such good outcomes that I now think nothing of coming out to males, as well as females from my past. Some people are surprised, some not so much, but either way, I have never had a negative reaction. On the contrary, most reactions are very positive just like my friend above.

Father’s Day Wish
Father’s Day is fast approaching and my daughter and wife keep asking what do I want for Father's Day.
I shrug and say, “I dunno.”
But in reality, I do know what I want for Father's Day, but I am afraid to say that I want them to take me to a nice restaurant to dine en femme.
My daughter would probably go for it, but my wife, not so much. She would probably be happy to get a day off from cooking a meal at home, but is that a big enough incentive to be seen in public with a man in a dress?
It would be a grand outing since I have not been out and about en femme post-pandemic. Guess it won’t happen unless I take the first step.
As Chauncey Depew once said, “The first step towards getting somewhere is to decide that you are not going to stay where you are.”
I’ve stayed where I am too long.

Still Too Good To Be True
Spend a few minutes viewing a few trans pages on Pinterest and you will see photos of purported transwomen who look too good to be true. Same thing on YouTube.
For example, the photo on the right was on Pinterest purporting to be a young fellow en femme, when in fact, the “fellow” is a cisgender female, not a femulator.
I smell a rat when the whole video has a musical soundtrack that masks what is really going on; you cannot hear any conversations that might reveal the truth, nor can you hear the voices of the “girls.” Another giveaway is when the video does not permit comments (no news is good news).
A little research can also reveal fabrications. A video from an academy in Peru showed male students getting dressed to kill as girls to pose for the school’s fund-raising calendar.
I was suspicious because the calendar was dated 2014, but the video did not appear until 2016, not to mention that the whole video had a masking musical soundtrack and comments were disabled.
I did a little Googling and found a handful of other videos from the academy. Turned out that the boys in those videos were youngsters, whereas the “boys” in the calendar video were high school or college-aged.
This issue came up again recently when a reader commented about an impressive male-to-female transformation video on YouTube and I called it out as a fake.
Another reader wrote questioning my conclusion, “...did he hire about 75 people for this ‘phony’ ceremony? The person who was his mother is really an actress? She is shown with him in both male and female mode. Are you implying that the girl is not the boy but a female?”
My conclusion was that the video was originally a shoot of a girl’s Quinceañera and that the person faking the video edited and added captions to tell his “story.”
The tells:
👎You never see the boy being transformed from a boy to a girl; you just see the finishing touches being applied to the girl’s makeup.
👎When the boy appears next to his grandfather, he is noticeably shorter than grandpa, but when the girl dances with grandpa, she is noticeably taller. No high heels are that high!
👎A musical soundtrack masks the whole video so you cannot hear what is being said. If the video was really what it was purporting to be (i.e., a boy’s Quinceañera), it would have been interesting to hear some of the things being said about this role reversing event, for example, the mother’s introduction of her transformed son.
By the way, I have been guilty of publishing trans fabrications, too. I try to weed out the fakes, but sometimes I miss the obvious. For example, an old post about boys wearing bras contained references that revealed its obvious fakery. When a few readers pointed out what I had missed, I removed the fake immediately. And just yesterday, I deleted a photo that had an obvious head replacement – not so obvious to me until someone alerted me to the fakery.
Other times, people have written first person accounts that have elements right out of trans fiction. I took the writers at their word, but some readers wrote to me that the stories were “too good to be true.” Without proof, I find myself between a rock and a hard place, so I let those posts live on in infamy with a promise to myself be more careful in the future.

Fridays are for Femulating
My Father’s Day Wish will only be my Father’s Day Dream.
I mulled this over for days and concluded that yes, it would be wonderful to dine en femme with my family to celebrate Father's Day, but even if my family agreed to fulfill my wish, I know that they would feel uncomfortable doing so. And I would feel bad knowing that they were uncomfortable and no one would have a good time.
As an alternative, I will dine en femme on another day – maybe with some other femulating fathers or at least, with some femulating friends.
Out and About Dept.
Encouraging you to femulate out and about among civilians is what this blog is all about. With that in mind, I started the new Femulating Out and About slot below, which features photos of girls like us out in public.
If you have a photo of you out and about en femme in public, I would be happy to feature it in the Femulating Out and About slot.
By the way, “out and about” does not mean femulating in your home, your back yard or in a hotel room. Rather, I am looking for photos of girls shopping, dining, partying, sightseeing, etc. – doing things that women do out among the civilian population.
Hopefully, your out and about photos will encourage other girl to go out and about, too.

Wigging out at QVC

| Is that a fella wearing a QVC wig? |
A few days ago in the 1 AM slot, I was surprised to see products I had never seen QVC sell before: wigs and hair extensions. They showed some nice wigs that I would not mind wearing, but I was scared off by their price – the prices were too low, which indicated that they were cheap wigs. (The most expensive wig was $109 or thereabouts.)
In my opinion, QVC’s normal prices are high. If $109 is the price of the most expensive wig they sell, it is a very cheap wig – equivalent to the $39.99 wigs you can buy from Paula Young and elsewhere. And it is not a wig you will ever see me wearing.
I could be wrong. Maybe these are great wigs at bargain basement prices. So I was wondering if any readers have any experience with QVC wigs, specifically the Toni Brattin brand. Please comment below or email me at stana-stana (at sign) sbcglobal.net and give me the low-down on QVC wigs.

I have never attended an LGBTQ Pride event. I just don’t feel like I belong.
On the other hand, I did attend Trans Pride in Northampton, Massachusetts, and I was thrilled to participate. Those were my peeps and you could feel the love of the trans community. And I would go again if there ever is another local Trans Pride event.

How can you laugh when you know I’m down?
I like the Beatles a lot.
I own most of their 45s, EPs, LPs and CDs. I even own a few cassettes. So I have their official musical library covered, but I want more!
Circa summer of 1970, I discovered bootlegs in, of all places, the army-navy surplus shop on Commercial Street in Provincetown.* I had read about bootlegs in Rolling Stone, but this was my first encounter of illegal vinyl in the flesh. I did not buy any because there were no Beatles’ bootlegs for sale. But arriving on the UCONN campus the following autumn, what was the first thing I checked out after moving into my dorm?
The library? No.
The classrooms? No
The football stadium? No.
The local record store? Yes!
The store had Beatles’ bootlegs and I bought every one that they sold during my two-year stint in Storrs (my first two years at UCONN were spent at the Waterbury branch).
After Storrs, I continued to purchase bootlegs via mail order, switching from LPs to CDs and over the years, I amassed a large collection. I probably own more Beatles’ bootlegs than legitimate recordings.
But I still want more!
Don’t know how they get away with it, but Amazon sells bootlegs. Perusing their Beatles’ bootlegs, I found something new: an 8 CD set of Beatles’ bootlegs for only $21 (typical Amazon, the price fluctuates and as I write this, it’s now $25). Anyway, I probably have half the contents of those eight CDs already, but not the other half, so I made the purchase and the CDs arrived the next day and I have been enjoying “new” Beatles’ tunes the past few days.
* What was I doing in Provincetown in 1970? Going on a fishing charter boat, believe it or not.
