The Someday Funnies logo above is based on the logo of Famous Funnies, which is “considered by popular culture historians as the first true American comic book” (source: Wikipedia). Famous Funnies was published by Eastern Color Printing Company, where my father worked as a printing pressman all his working days and I worked summers at various jobs.
