I am sad today because I will not be traveling to
Hamvention this week to see my ham radio friends and acquaintances. Since 1978, I have made the trip to Hamvention over 30 times – the last nine times as a woman and was disappointed, but not surprised when they cancelled this year’s event because of the Impeached President Virus.
I will really miss the opportunity to present as a woman full-time for a five-day stint. It is usually one of the highlights of my year. Also, I had planned to fly to Dayton this year, which would have been my first time flying pretty.
C'est la vie!
